Do I need to Book an Appointment?

There is no need to make an appointment if you would like to visit us for a fitting. However, if the alteration you require is extensive, a bridal alteration or you would like to enquire about our Made To Measure service we want to ensure that you are seen by one of our dedicated specialists so we recommend that you contact us first. Opening Hours

Fittings

We will work on your garment for as long as it is required to achieve the perfect fit. It is important that you understand that sometimes, for bridal and complex alterations, in particular, more than one fitting will be required to achieve the perfect result as the margin for an unwanted crease is sometimes just a millimeter. We believe in consistency that is why the same tailor or seamstress you see at your consultation will attend to you during all your fittings as well as work on your garment. All fittings are complimentary.

When will my garment be ready?

We will advise you how long your garment will take to alter at the time of your first appointment. Our bespoke order management system will send you an automated text/email confirming your order number, and your next fitting or collection date. Once your garment is ready to collect our system will automatically send you a text/email to let you know your order is ready. This means if we finish the work ahead of schedule you will have the option to collect your order sooner.

What happens if I require an urgent alterations service?

If you require us to alter your garment for you the same day, please let us know your requirements when you contact us and we will be more than happy to help.

Prices

We believe in charging our customers fair and reasonable prices, therefore, we undertake regular research to ensure our rates are moderate. We appreciate that you would like to know in advance how much the costs are going to be but as garments can vary with regards to fabric, finishing, construction and detail we prefer that customers visit us so we can provide a free, accurate and no obligation quote. At your appointment, we will provide you with a breakdown of costs so you have a clear understanding of what you are being charged for and do our best to make sure we quote within your budget. Our Fair and Reasonable Price policy means that our customers receive the best possible service and outstanding quality workmanship without having to pay premium prices.

We accept Cash, Apple Pay most Debit Cards and Credit cards, including American Express.

Perfect Fit Guarantee

We always advise all of our customers to try on garments before they collect them so we can ensure the fit is precise. We understand that sometimes it might not be possible for you try your garment before you collect and that is why we offer a 14-day guarantee policy to our customers. If once you have collected your garments, you find that the garments do not fit you as expected, you can bring them back within 14 days from the collection date stated on your receipt.

Cancellation Policy

Once you have agreed what services Alterations Boutique Manchester will carry out and paid a deposit or in full we reserve the right to charge a 15% cancellation fee in respect of the total cost of the services provided.

Uncollected Items

The customer is under an obligation to collect their garment/s within 90 days of the agreed collection date stated on their receipt. Uncollected items may be disposed of after 90 days after the agreed collection date stated on their order receipt. Alterations Boutique Manchester Ltd in such event will take reasonable steps to contact the customer using the contact details provided at the time the order was placed. If we are unable to contact the customer we will not be held liable for any loss that the customer may suffer.
